Hi, my name is Zara. I’m a mother of three and an artist at heart. Since I can remember, moving from one place to another was part of my life. First from city to city and later from country to country and continent to continent. Because of that I never owned a lot of stuff but wow, did I treasure the photos I took on the way!

Although I started my career as a photographer quite late in my life - I used to be an actress in another lifetime - I can easily see that I am now exactly where I was meant to be. Capturing unforgettable moments for you and your loved ones.

I was born in Berlin and always loved to travel, spending time living in Germany, Spain, Vanuatu, Bali and now I settled on the Gold Coast in Australia. As someone who grew up moving from country to country, photographs have always been that one thing I treasured most. It made saying goodbye easier and helped me remember all those precious moments that sometimes got lost and forgotten in the daily chaos.

Being creative always came natural to me and once my children were born I searched for a new creative outlet that I could pursue whilst also raising my wild trio. When I discovered photography, I knew I was home. Since then, not a day went by without picking up my camera. Capturing families and children has become my biggest passion. I see the magic in the mundane and love to capture the authentic moments of life and relationships. Rather than perfectly set up portraits I am interested in photographing in a more documentary approach to create truly meaningful images.

No matter if you’re a family looking to create memories or a brand needing capturing content. I will always give my everything to create authentic and touching images for you.

I thought a lot about, why photography means so much to me.

I lost my mother when I was just twenty years old and always regretted how few photos I had of her. Especially photos of me and my mum together. Maybe this is the reason why I am so in love and passionate about Family, Maternity and newborn photography.  Especially the raw and candid moments.

It’s not only us parents who will hold on to these images.  One day these moments in time will become the most invaluable treasures for our children and I feel privileged to help create those memories.

I’m looking forward to meet you in person soon

xx
